Lovisa Afzelius has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology industry. Lovisa started their career at Pfizer, where they held various leadership positions, including Executive Director and Senior Director in the fields of Systems Immunology, Computational Precision Medicine, and Immunoscience. In 2017, they joined Repertoire Immune Medicines as a Senior Vice President. Lovisa also co-founded Elsa Science, an organization where they served as Chairman of the Board and later as a Board Member. In 2020, Lovisa ventured into entrepreneurship and became the Founding CEO and Director of Alltrna. Lovisa also co-founded Apriori Bio and served as the Co-founder and CEO. In 2021, they co-founded Metaphore Biotechnologies, where they currently hold the role of Co-founder and CEO. Additionally, they are a Co-founder and CEO of FL89, a company they started in 2022. Lovisa has also contributed to the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce, where they served on the Board of Directors. Lovisa Afzelius attended the University of Gothenburg from 1995 to 2000 for their MSc but did not complete a specific degree or field of study. Later on, they pursued a Doctoral degree in Computational Chemistry at the University of Uppsala from 2001 to 2004. Lastly, they attended the MIT Sloan School of Management from 2014 to 2016, where they obtained an Executive MBA, specializing in Master of Business Administration.
