Rafael Klein is the current Head of Engineering at Allthings. Prior to this, they served as Senior Project Manager at Contovista AG from January 2016 to December 2017. At Contovista, Rafael was responsible for FinTech software for online-banking systems and Data Analytics Platform built on top of the Personal Finance Manager core product. Rafael's client base included major Swiss and European banks (B2B2C).
Before Contovista, Rafael worked as a Quantitative Analyst Operations at Swiss National Accident Insurance Fund (Suva) from March 2013 to May 2016. There, they put into action the team’s mission to create state-of-the-art automation and straight-through- processing across the entire trade life cycles from front to back, execution to settlement, across all asset classes. This included the design, development and operation of custom-built and third-party solutions (SQL Server, .Net, Bloomberg, SimCorp Dimension, and a multitude of data providers/counterparties).
Rafael also has experience in Business Intelligence & Reporting, having developed BI solutions for all desks and stakeholders, including risk and performance management while at Suva.
From the list above, Rafael Klein has a Master of Science (MSc) in Management, Technology & Economics from ETH Zürich, an exchange in Management from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Intensive Chinese language studies from Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU), a BSc in Civil Engineering from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC-Barcelona Tech), and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering from ETH Zürich. Rafael is also Avaloq Certified Professional.
