Chad Spensky has a wealth of work experience. Chad began their career in 2007 as a Lead Web Developer at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2008, they became a Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2011, they were a Graduate Intern at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, and also a Teaching Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they created an assignment involving buffer overflows. In 2012, they became an External Consultant and Associate Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory. Chad then moved on to become a Graduate Research Intern at IBM in 2019, where they examined malicious fault (i.e., glitching) attacks on embedded systems and methods for automatically compiling glitch-resistant code. In 2019, they founded and became the CEO of Allthenticate. Chad also obtained their Ph.D. in the SecLab at UCSB in 2015, with a dissertation titled "Analyzing and Securing Embedded Systems".

Chad Spensky received their Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Economics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2008. Chad then went on to obtain a Masters of Science in Computer Security from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011. Finally, Chad Spensky completed their Ph.D. in Computer Security from UC Santa Barbara in 2020.
