Jessica Long has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Jessica began their career as an Articling Lawyer at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario in 2014. From there, they worked as a Graduate Research Intern for the Afghanistan Reference Group in 2008 and as a Graduate Research Assistant for Dr. Vern Neufeld-Redekop in the same year. In 2015, they joined Intact as a Legal Counsel, a position they held until 2020 when they moved to HUB International as a Senior Legal Counsel. In 2022, they joined Allstate Canada as a Senior Counsel for Insurance Operations before being promoted to Senior Manager for Insurance Law & Ombudsman later that year. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Insurance Law and Ombudsman at Allstate Canada.
Jessica Long's education history includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree in Business Law from the University of Toronto (2012-2013), a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law from Queen's University Belfast (2009-2012), a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Conflict Studies from the University of Ottawa (2007-2009), a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Honours degree in Political Science from Queen's University (2003-2007), and attendance at Deerfield Academy from 2001 to 2003.
