Aastha Shrestha is a skilled scientist currently serving as a Senior Associate Scientist in Process and Product Development at Allogene Therapeutics since January 2020. With experience as an Associate Scientist in both Process Science and Adventitious Agent and Vector Science, Aastha focuses on the culture and maintenance of primary cells for genetic manipulation, development of isolation methods, and performing Quantitative PCR for viral gene identification. Previous research experience includes serving as an Undergraduate Student Researcher in a microbiology genetics lab at San Jose State University, where Aastha investigated metabolic regulation in methylotropic bacteria. Additionally, Aastha worked as a Personal Tutor in math and science, tailoring action plans to meet student needs. Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology with a minor in Biochemistry from San Jose State University, an Associate's degree from Berkeley City College, and a Bachelor's degree from Idaho State University.
