Steven Anderson, MD, has over two decades of experience in the medical field, with a focus on healthcare informatics and urgent care. Currently serving as the Excellian (Epic) Medical Director at Allina Health since October 2014, Steven leads initiatives to enhance Epic installations and improve healthcare delivery. In addition, Steven is a Principal Consultant at HealthIT-MD.com, offering technical solutions in interoperability, data analytics, and EHR training. Previous roles include Medical Content Developer at Wolters Kluwer, Family Physician at Allina Hospitals & Clinics, and clinical residency at Regions Family Medicine Residency. Steven holds an MD from the University of Minnesota Medical School and a BEE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Minnesota. Additionally, early career experience includes a consulting role at Boston Scientific in medical device research.
