Bjorn Nelson is a Senior Associate at Allied Works Architecture, a position held since September 2011, where previous roles included Associate. Prior experience includes Project Designer and Energy Consultant at LEVER Architecture, Freelance Designer and cofounder of Studio Sunna, and Lead Designer & Energy Consultant at Root Design Build, all based in Portland, OR. Early career experience features a Designer role at Allied Works Architecture and design lead responsibilities at Works Partnership Architecture. Notable achievements include the RTKL Traveling Fellowship for research in Germany on energy-efficient buildings and contributions to various construction projects in both Germany and the United States. Bjorn Nelson holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies & Geography from the University of Colorado Boulder.
