Michael Shively has a diverse work experience spanning a period of over 20 years. Michael began their career at Scott's Grocery in 1994, where they worked as a Cashier and Customer Service representative until 1999. In 1999, they joined Dana Holding Corporation as a Process Engineer - Co-op, and stayed with the company until 2001. Michael then moved on to Cuno Water, where they worked as an Assembler from 2001 to 2005. In 2005, they joined SMC as a Sales Engineer and remained in that role until 2013. Since 2013, Michael has been working at Allied Automation, Inc., initially as a District Sales Manager, and currently as a Business Development Manager.

Michael Shively earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BSME) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University. Michael attended Purdue from 1996 to 2004. Prior to their university education, they obtained their High School Diploma from Northrop High School, where they attended from 1993 to 1996. Furthermore, they have obtained the Universal Robots Core Training certification from Universal Robots in February 2023.
