Michael Smyth is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in internal audit and management. Currently serving as the Head Of Internal Audit at Allianz Ireland since September 2020, Michael previously held the same position at IFG Group plc from February 2011 to September 2020. Prior to that, Michael worked as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young from October 1999 to January 2011. Michael holds a degree in Accounting & Finance and a Master's in Accounting from Dublin City University, as well as being a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
