Mel Cosio currently serves as a Government Relations Representative at Pacific Gas and Electric Company, starting in April 2024. Previously, Mel held the position of Government Affairs Manager at the Alliance for Safety and Justice. Mel's extensive experience in the California State Assembly includes roles as Legislative Director, Senior Legislative Assistant, and Legislative Assistant from January 2017 to March 2022, along with a brief tenure as Statewide Field Manager and Field Coordinator with the Assembly Democratic Caucus in 2020 and 2018, respectively. Additional campaign experience includes serving as Field Director for Eloise Reyes for Assembly in 2016 and Field Organizer for Abigail Medina for Assembly in 2015. Mel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Public Service from the University of California, Davis.
