Thomas Vollmers has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 1994. Thomas began their career at Pharmacia & Upjohn as a Government Accounts Manager and Managed Care Consultant/Team Leader. In 1997, they moved to Merck as a Health Science Liaison. In 1998, they joined Pfizer as a Regional Sales Manager, Assistant to the Sales Director (Sales Operations Manager), Medical Science Liaison and HIV Sales Consultant. In 2008, they became Senior Manager, US HIV Marketing at Pfizer. In 2009, they joined ViiV Healthcare as Senior Director, Companion Diagnostics and Senior Product Director, Selzentry. In 2013, they moved to GlaxoSmithKline as Director, Global Commercial Diagnostics - Immunotherapeutics. In 2015, they became Global Capability Director, Oncology Diagnostics at AstraZeneca. In 2016, they joined Lloyd | Garner & Associates as Founding Partner. In 2017, they moved to AllerGenis as Head - Strategic Partnerships and Commercial Strategy. AllerGenis develops precision, data-driven diagnostics to help healthcare providers more accurately and safely diagnose, assess and monitor patients with food allergies.

Thomas Vollmer obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Biology/Biological Sciences with a concentration in Marketing from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
