Akira Fukuhara

Head Of Simulator Engineering Team at All Nippon Airways

Akira Fukuhara has extensive work experience in the field of simulator engineering and training device development. They started their career as a Simulator Engineer at All Nippon Airways in 2005 and worked in this role until 2014. During this time, they gained knowledge and experience in simulator engineering and the build process.

In 2014, Akira Fukuhara was seconded for placement at L3 Link Simulation & Training as a Simulator Engineer. In this role, they were assigned to multiple departments, including hardware engineering and software engineering, which provided them with a different perspective and valuable experience from a manufacturer's point of view.

After completing their placement, Akira Fukuhara returned to All Nippon Airways in 2015 and took on various roles within the company. They served as a Sr. Simulator Engineer from 2015 to 2016 and then progressed to the role of Assistant Manager in Training Device Development from 2016 to 2023. In this role, they contributed to the development and maintenance of training devices.

From 2017 to 2023, Akira Fukuhara held the position of Portfolio Program Manager, where they managed multiple programs related to training device relocation and major system upgrades. They also acted as the Head of the Simulator Engineering Team from 2023, where they oversee the team in charge of B767/B777/B787 fleet simulators and training devices, as well as supporting simulator certification and software modifications.

Throughout their career, Akira Fukuhara has demonstrated their ability to understand requirements, manage projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Akira Fukuhara attended the Yahagi Technical High School from 1999 to 2005, where they focused on electrical engineering.
