Joseph Tharakan is an experienced executive with a strong background in financial services, particularly in Takaful, cards, and payment systems. Currently serving as an Executive Manager and Unit Head for Takaful, Cards & Payments at Alizz Islamic Bank since March 2018, Joseph leads the transformation projects related to payment cards. Prior roles include Senior Manager positions focusing on product development and management in both the Consumer Banking Group and COO Group. Joseph's extensive experience encompasses senior management in marketing, distribution, and bancassurance, having worked for reputable organizations such as Pride Group Dubai, Al Sagr National Insurance Company, and Doha Bank. Joseph holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from DCSMAT Institutions and a Bachelor of Commerce from Mahatma Gandhi University.
