Mahran Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Mahran started their career as a Project Coordinator at Arab African Initiative, where they assisted project managers in tracking and documenting projects. Mahran then worked as a Project Development Consultant at the Embassy of Japan, where they focused on supporting community-level socio-economic projects in developing countries.

From there, Mahran transitioned to a research intern role at LNEG, where they gained experience in the energy and geology field. Mahran then moved on to Seibu Giken DST AB, where they served as an International Account Manager and played a key role in expanding operations to India.

Following that, Mahran joined DST East Africa as a Business Development Manager and successfully led the establishment of the East African subsidiary. Mahran developed and executed business strategies, while also creating strategic partnerships within the public and private sectors.

Prior to their current role, Mahran worked as the Head of Business Development at Pro LTD - Import & Export. Mahran played a significant role in establishing the company's international presence, creating long-term partnerships, and building a sustainable supply chain for exporting Sudanese agricultural crops.

Currently, Mahran is employed at Alight as a Technical Project Manager for Grid Connected (GC) projects. Mahran supports the company's expansion by managing and overseeing the construction of solar projects across Sweden and Europe. Additionally, they are involved in co-located battery storage, ensuring grid stability with the solar roll-out.

Mahran Ahmed completed a Bachelor's degree in Applied Science (BASc) in Electrical and Control Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. This education was obtained from 2006 to 2011. Later, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in the field of European Master in Renewable Energy from Loughborough University, from 2013 to 2014.
