Luca Piu is a qualified helicopter pilot with extensive experience in various operational roles. Currently serving at ALIDAUNIA S.R.L. as a HEMS pilot for the AW169 HHO NVIS since May 2022, Luca previously worked with Elicompany from February 2020 to May 2022 on powerline and pipeline patrol operations. Additionally, Luca has experience as a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor for ATPL(H) courses at Italfly Aviation Srl from October 2019 to February 2020. Early career roles include ground and air assistance at the Nucleo Elicotteri della Provincia Autonoma di Trento and Air Traffic Controller assistance at AFIU Trento. Educational qualifications include a frozen ATPL, CPL(H)-IR-PBN qualifications, an ICAO TEA Level 4 certification, and training in VFR and IFR operations with CRM. Luca holds a Perito Aeronautico degree from Istituto Tecnico Aeronautico Lindbergh Flying School and a Private Pilot License from Aeroclub Verona.
