João Lucas Lucchetta has extensive work experience in the software engineering field. João Lucas began their career as a freelance fullstack web developer for the Advance Queensland organization, where they were responsible for designing and developing a platform for a government competition. João Lucas then worked as a software developer at Pagar.me, where they maintained and developed internal and external services.
After that, Lucchetta joined Wirecard as a software engineer, specializing in payment and order APIs. João Lucas helped modernize their payment events handling and migrated features to a microservices architecture. João Lucas also improved code quality and development infrastructure.
Lucchetta then moved to Hash, where they held multiple roles. As a software engineer, they had a broad range of responsibilities, including developing new features, integrating with new acquirers, and supervising transactional and financial operations. Later, they became a senior software engineer (tech lead - clearing) and led the clearing team. João Lucas architected and specified new systems to replace legacy workflows and guided the implementation of these systems. João Lucas also oversaw the financial operation running on the legacy infrastructure.

João Lucas Lucchetta has a diverse education history, with a focus on software development and theology. In 2010 to 2012, they attended the Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo - IFSP, where they obtained a Technical Degree in IT Support and Maintenance. João Lucas then pursued further studies in systems analysis and development at the same institution from 2013 to 2017, earning a Technologist Degree. In 2015, João Lucas had a Study Abroad Year at the Queensland University of Technology, focusing on software development through the Science Without Borders program. Most recently, in 2021 to 2022, they attended the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie for a Certificate in Systematic Theology Studies at the Andrew Jumper Graduate Center. Alongside their formal education, João Lucas has obtained several certifications, including Cloud Architecture: Advanced Concepts and Reactive Architecture: Introduction to Reactive Systems from LinkedIn in 2018, as well as Leading Yourself and Stay Lean with Kanban certifications from LinkedIn in the same year.
