Thomas Stone is a knowledgeable scientist with extensive experience in the field of microbiology and algae cultivation systems. Currently serving as a Scientist and Senior Research Associate at Algenol since November 2011, Thomas focuses on designing, constructing, managing, and analyzing mid- to large-scale algae cultivation systems while collaborating with various departments. Previously, Thomas held positions such as Adjunct Professor of Microbiology at Hodges University, teaching advanced courses and hands-on laboratories, and as Lab Safety Officer and Research Associate at Cellana LLC, where responsibilities included safety inspections, hazardous waste management, and quality control for ISO 17025 compliance. Thomas also has experience as a Laboratory Technician at Mount Allison University, an All Stars Cheer Coach for the YMCA, and a Lifeguard with the Wisconsin Rapids Parks and Recreation. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
