Alexander Haumann currently serves as a Research Group Leader at the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research and as a Professor at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München since January and February 2023, respectively. Prior to these positions, Alexander held various research roles at Princeton University, British Antarctic Survey, and ETH Zürich, among others, ranging from Associate Research Scholar to Postdoctoral Research Assistant. Alexander obtained a Doctor of Sciences in Environmental Science from ETH Zürich, a Master of Science in Meteorology, Physical Oceanography, and Climate from Utrecht University, and a Bachelor of Science in Geosciences with a major in Geography from the University of Basel.
