HRH Dr. Maha AlSaud is the Vice President of External Relations and Advancement at Alfaisal University (2014 to present), a fully accredited NCAAA institute of higher education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She spearheaded the enrolment of women in 2011 and serves as a member on the Board of Trustees and Chairperson of the External Relations Advisory Board, and proudly represents Alfaisal University, showcasing its high-quality standards both nationally and internationally. She established a cohesive organizational structure for the External Relations Division (ERD) that has been effective in developing and implementing a coordinated program of strategic communications designed to advance the institutional objectives of the University.
HRH Dr. Maha is one of the founders and former Governor of American College of Physicians (ACP 2015- 2019) Saudi Arabia Chapter and a member of its Global International Council. She is passionate about bringing a positive change for the women workforce and has created & chairs several committees that govern women's admission & work environment.
She has brought the International spotlight to her country on many occasions and represented Saudi Arabia in the USA and Kuwait for the International Conference on Women Leaders in Science, Technology, and Engineering. She was also part of the International Professional and Cultural Program of the People-to-People Congress led by the Head of the American College of Physicians in India and represented Saudi women physicians at his Majesty's Royal Court to wives of heads of states of Indonesia, Korea, Jordan, Spain, Lebanon, France, China, Austria & other senior delegates.
She was also invited as the honorary speaker at Deloitte Middle East's Regional Annual Partners Meeting in Dubai Nov 2019, where she addressed the massive transformation happening in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in driving, passionate efforts to fulfil VISION 2030 in a speech titled "Vision 2030: Gripping the Nation". In January 2020, she was invited as one of the opening keynote speakers at KAUST's Winter Enrichment Program 2020 (WEP), offered to members of the KAUST community where she presented a lecture titled "The Precise Art of Medicine", Jeddah.
HRH Dr. Maha holds an MBBS degree from King Saud University (Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia), College of Medicine (1986). She completed the Residency program at George Washington University Hospital for internal Medicine (1993) and acquired the American Board of Internal Medicine Certification (1994) and continues to hold it. She was also a Board Member at the Primary Vascular Research Institute.
Presently, she is a Consultant of Internal Medicine and Senior Clinical Scientist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (1995-present) and an assistant professor of the College of Medicine at Alfaisal University, in addition to being the President of George Washington University Medical Alumni, for Saudi Arabia and the Gulf region.
She also held the position of the Lead Co-Chair of the Taskforce #9 "Migration and Young Societies" at G20 Saudi Arabia 2020.
