Mirkka Schaller, PhD, currently serves as a Member of the Global Foresight Network at the World Economic Forum, engaging with a global community to enhance foresight and future-preparedness across sectors. With extensive experience at Alexion Pharmaceuticals since 2015, Mirkka has held multiple leadership roles, including Head of Innovation Accelerator & Think Tank, focusing on strategic planning for scientific content development and communications. Prior roles at AAVA Medical Communication & Consulting, CSL Vifor, and Bayer involved consulting, medical communications, and scientific evaluation for health-related products. Mirkka holds a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Helsinki and a Master of Science in Health Sciences from the University of Eastern Finland.
