Doug Sluys currently serves as Senior Lead Engineer at Alexandria Real Estate Equities, Inc., a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Doug served as Chief Engineer at CBRE from October 2009 to May 2016, where responsibilities included managing multiple properties, overseeing crew training, and leading budgeting and capital planning efforts. Earlier positions include Assistant Chief Engineer at CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield, and Operating Engineer at Egis Real Estate Services. Doug Sluys holds an Associate of Science degree in Commercial and Industrial Building Engineering from Renton Tech, completed from 2001 to 2005, and attended the University of Washington from 1988 to 1990.
