Tonja Andrea Klausmann has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Tonja Andrea is currently the Project Director for the Humboldt Residency Programme at the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to that, they were the Coordinator for the same program from December 2021 to March 2023.
Tonja also worked as a Trainer at the Kolping Netzwerk für Geflüchtet from June 2018 to September 2022. Tonja Andrea was a Regular Contributor at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für die Vereinten Nationen e.V. (United Nations Association of Germany) from March 2019 to June 2022.

Tonja Andrea began their career as an Assistant in the International Office at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in 2012.
Tonja Andrea Klausmann has a strong educational background in the field of Middle Eastern Studies. Tonja Andrea received their Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree from the University of Oxford from 2015 to 2017, specializing in Modern Middle Eastern Studies. Prior to that, Tonja pursued studies in Arabic Language at the Qasid Institute in Amman, Jordan from 2014 to 2015. Tonja Andrea also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Sociology from Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, which they completed from 2011 to 2014. Additionally, Tonja participated in a Study Abroad program at The College of New Jersey in 2013.
