Marcy Hogan Greer understands that real people are affected by everything she does as an appellate attorney. She believes her role is to help her clients get the result they need, solving the problem at hand in a way that most effectively addresses her clients’ needs. Sometimes that means her decisions go against her own best interests. Getting the case resolved quickly and efficiently means fewer legal fees, but if it means peace of mind and resolution for her client, that’s the most important outcome.
Her distinguished career falls in the footsteps of her father, who was also a lawyer and law professor. As managing partner with Alexander Dubose & Jefferson, Marcy is recognized for her work in federal and state trial and appellate courts throughout the country. Her practice includes class action and mass tort cases, including federal and state multidistrict litigation.
This experience, and her conscientious attention to the needs of her clients have contributed to her recognition by the Texas Bar Association with the Louise B. Raggio award in 2017, in recognition for her work addressing the needs and issues of women in the legal profession and the community, as well as the Frank J. Scurlock Award for Outstanding Legal Services to the Poor in 2011.
