Anne is a member of AAFCPAs’ Managed Accounting Solutions (MAS) practice, providing outsourced, cloud-based finance & accounting support for diverse nonprofits. She serves as a fractional controller for clients who are experiencing a transition, restructuring, or for those who need her specialized skills or resource enhancements.
Prior to joining AAFCPAs, Anne gained over 25 years’ experience providing financial and operational consulting solutions to sophisticated nonprofits, including human & social services providers, as well as Community Development Corporations and their related affordable housing projects. Most recently, she served as CFO for NewVue Communities, which serves 22 communities in North Central MA. Anne is an active participant with NeighborWorks America having participated as a mentor as part of the Strong Leaders Pilot Program. She is also a graduate of NeighborWorks Achieving Excellence Program, delivered in collaboration with Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. She is committed to using her skills and knowledge to identify what the “next level” could be for clients.
She has specialized expertise advising clients on accounting for tax credit transactions, including New Markets tax credits (NMTCs), Low-Income Housing tax credits (LIHTCs), federal and state Historic Rehabilitation tax credits, Renewable Energy tax credits, and projects that combine tax credits with various levels of debt and rental assistance subsidies.
Anne has extensive experience addressing growing pains for nonprofits. She assesses processes, systems, and internal controls, and she provides recommendations to maximize performance, increase efficiency, and minimize compliance risk. She helps clients ensure their processes and procedures are scalable, and that documentation is auditable.
