Zach Collins has a diverse work experience in the biotech and healthcare industries. Zach is currently working at Mission BioCapital, where they started as an Analyst in September 2018 and later became an Associate in May 2019. Since September 2021, they have been in the role of Principal at the company. In addition to their work at Mission BioCapital, Zach also served as a Team Member at Harvard Biotech Incubator from September 2017 to January 2018.
Zach has also held various positions in startups and research organizations. Zach worked as an Entrepreneur Success Partner at MBC Biolabs from April 2020 onwards. Zach has been appointed as a Chief Business Officer at Alessa Therapeutics, Inc. starting from July 2022. Zach serves as a Board Observer at Nuvig Therapeutics Inc. since December 2021, and as a Board Observer and Board Member at two different stealth biotech startups since June and August 2021 respectively.
Before entering the field of biotech and healthcare, Zach gained research experience during their time at Harvard Medical School as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from May to August 2018 and as a Graduate Student Researcher from September 2013 to May 2018. Zach also worked as an Undergraduate Research Program Student at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in the summer of 2012, and as an Undergraduate Researcher at The George Washington University Columbian College of Arts & Sciences from May 2010 to May 2012.
Zach Collins has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The George Washington University. Zach also holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Harvard University.
