Vera Zisler is a Machine Learning Engineer currently employed at Aleph Alpha GmbH and Bombardier Transportation Signal Germany. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Scientist at Roche from 2018 to 2020. From 2013 to 2018, they were a Researcher PHD Student and Research Fellow at the Heidelberg Collaboratory for Image Processing. During this time, they applied and developed novel machine learning methods and probabilistic graphical models to image segmentation and motion segmentation in videos, as well as a project for an autonomous driving scenario. Vera also collaborated with other members of the research group.
Vera Zisler obtained their Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics from Univerzitet 'Sv. Kiril i Metódij' vo Skopje in 2010. Vera then attended Università degli Studi dell'Aquila, Université Côte d'Azur, and University of Hamburg, obtaining a Master of Science in Mathematical Modelling in Engineering (Industrial Mathematics) from each institution between 2010 and 2012. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. rer. nat.) in Computer Vision from Heidelberg University in 2017.
