Juan Laboreo worked as an Operations Engineer at Alén Space starting in February 2023. Previously, they worked as a Spacecraft Payload Services Engineer at HISDESAT from December 2017 to February 2023. Before that, they were an Assistant at the Research & Development Department at IdroneBCN from September 2016 to March 2017.

Juan Laboreo completed their Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 2012 and 2016. Juan then pursued their MSc Degree in Science and Technology from Space at Universidad de Alcalá from 2020 to 2022.
