Vanessa Lancaster has over 13 years of professional experience. Vanessa began their career in 2007 at Power Handling as a Key Account Manager and Agency Sales Manager. In this role, they were responsible for training incoming sales associates, accounting and admin assistants. Vanessa also developed training plans and SOPs for easier transitions and was considered the go-to person for equipment information, customer history, software and general status regarding the customer-facing business. In 2014, they joined Guardian Life as an Operations Consultant and Executive Assistant. As an Operations Consultant, they were a SME for new and existing systems, completed training, created user guides, developed training sessions for departmental leaders and followed up to ensure satisfaction. As an Executive Assistant, they planned, managed logistics and recordings and presented on video conferences across eight national sites to 350+ attendees and 7-10 presenters, including remote staff. Vanessa also managed access for 900+ users and established controls. In 2020, they joined Monaco Enterprises, Inc. as a Senior Technical Writer and Project Manager. Finally, in 2022, they joined Alden Systems as a Software Implementation Project Manager.
Vanessa Lancaster is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Humanities and an Operations Management Certification from Whitworth University, which they are expected to complete in 2021. From 2001 to 2005, they attended Gonzaga University, where they studied Communication, Journalism, and Leadership Studies. Vanessa has also completed a Lean Sigma Six Yellow Belt from Guardian Internal Training, and has obtained certifications from Microsoft in Outlook 2016, PowerPoint 2016, Word 2016, and Excel 2016. Additionally, they have completed training in Operational Excellence, Fierce Feedback, SAFe (Agile), Remote Teamwork Training, and Unconscious Bias, as well as Data Analytics from General Assembly.
