Brian O'Coin

Instrumentation Associate at Alden Research Laboratory, LLC

Brian O'Coin has extensive experience in instrumentation and blacksmithing. Currently serving as a Volunteer Instructor at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School since January 2018, Brian teaches blacksmithing and artistic metal sculpture, as well as a beginners' course for adults. Since May 2001, Brian has been an Instrumentation Associate at ALDEN, specializing in controls and instrumentation for hydraulic research. Prior roles include New Product Development Technician at Fenwal Safety Systems, where Brian was involved in developing explosion prevention and aircraft overheat detection equipment, and Instrumentation Assistant at Alden Research Laboratory. Earlier in the career, Brian held positions such as Senior Technician at Waters Manufacturing and Calibration Technician at New England Instruments, focusing on precision sensors and calibration for industrial applications. Brian's educational background includes studies at Quinsigamond Community College.
