Sandra Corti has extensive experience in the field of research and development, as well as process improvement. Their most recent position was as a Lead Process Engineer at Alcon, where they conducted engineering studies, performed data analysis, and coordinated pFMEAs for manufacturing platforms. Prior to that, they worked as a Principal Scientist at Alcon, where they focused on research and development. Before joining Alcon, Sandra worked at CIBA Vision as a Senior Scientist, responsible for research and development of various types of inks. Sandra also initiated DOEs for process development and technology transfer. Earlier in their career, Sandra was a Scientist at SOLVAY Solexis, where they conducted synthesis of high-performance materials and contributed to the publication of four patents. Sandra has experience in synthetic chemistry and is proficient in GC, IR, and NMR analysis.
Sandra Corti holds a Master's degree in Chemistry from Università degli Studi di Milano, which they completed from 1987 to 1993. Before that, they obtained their high school diploma in Physical Sciences from Liceo Scientifico Salvador Allende Milano from 1983 to 1987. Additionally, Sandra was a visiting scientist specializing in fluorine chemistry at Clemson University from 1997 to 1998. Sandra also has received certifications in "Dealing with Microaggression as an Employee" and "Developing Your Emotional Intelligence" from LinkedIn in 2021.
