Monique Poon, MBA, PMP, is an experienced professional in project and engineering management within the medical device industry. Currently serving as Associate Director of Project Management at Alcon since September 2017, Monique oversees complex ophthalmic surgical instrumentation projects from feasibility to launch, ensuring alignment with project objectives through effective communication. Prior to Alcon, Monique held various engineering roles at Medtronic from February 2007 to August 2017, including Principal Manufacturing Engineer, where leadership of a portfolio of projects and the development of a Project Management Office significantly improved project completion rates. Monique's early career included roles in tissue processing and production at Arbor Surgical and Isotis Orthobiologics, complemented by educational credentials including an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Brandman University and a BS in Biology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
