Armin Soltanzadi, PhD, is a highly skilled Senior Engineer II at Alcon, with a focus on developing automated lens test systems and implementing advanced algorithms for machine vision, signal processing, and image analysis. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, and hands-on experience from previous roles as Enhanced Graduate Teaching Assistant and R&D Interns at Alcon, Armin has developed expertise in biomedical signal estimation, optical characterization, and application development using MATLAB and LabVIEW. Prior experience includes positions as a Biomedical Equipment Specialist at Masoud Laboratory and Technical Manager at Vesta Trading Inc. Armin's educational journey also includes a Master’s degree from the University of Tehran and a Bachelor’s degree from Shahid Beheshti University.
