Isaac Lau has held a variety of roles in the engineering and research fields. In 2021, they began working as a Product Engineer and Developer Advocate at Alchemy. In 2020, Lau worked as a Research & Development intern at the Ethereum Foundation, where they implemented standardized bonding curve smart contracts and deployed a prototype factory contract system. Isaac also worked as a Flight Controls Intern at Aerion Supersonic, constructing data visualization and computation tools. In 2019, Lau worked as an EECS/Levitation Sub-Systems engineer at MIT Hyperloop II, leading a team of engineers and designing on-board controls. Isaac also worked as an Engineering Intern at Mirada Technologies, Inc., building a semi-real-time LiDAR point cloud demo, and as a Data Science/Engineering Intern at Density Inc., designing and building real-time integration between Density's radar sensors and access control systems. In 2017, Lau participated in The Summer Science Program, conducting Minor Planet Research in Near-Earth Asteroids and Astrophysics.
Isaac Lau attended Lick-Wilmerding High School from 2014 to 2018, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computation & Cognition (EECS/BCS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which they began in 2018.
