Walter Matthews has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as Public Affairs Action Officer at JPASE from 2008 to 2011. Walter then moved on to serve as Directorate Executive Officer at the US Navy from 2011 to 2014. In 2014, they took on the role of Public Relations at Priatek, where they helped businesses attract, engage, and re-engage quality consumers through digital promotions for prizes, coupons, and discounts. From 2015 to 2016, they were an MBA Student at the University of Tampa - John H. Sykes College of Business. In 2016, they became Co-Owner & Director of Business Development at Jo'el Worldwear, LLC. Finally, in 2017, they founded Skyway Bound Enterprises, LLC and in 2019 became Director of Operations at ALCA IT Solutions, Inc.

Walter Matthews obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Auburn University between 1993 and 1997. Walter then went on to earn a Master of Arts in Communication from San Diego State University between 2007 and 2008. Finally, they completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Tampa - John H. Sykes College of Business between 2015 and 2017.
