David Tanner serves as the Director of the Center for the Arts at Albright College since October 2010, where responsibilities include conceiving, implementing, and marketing a diverse range of cultural events while overseeing the Freedman Gallery, Concert Series, Wachovia Theatre, and International Film Series. Tanner's role has expanded to include the Dean of Arts & Cultural Resources, managing campus collections and resources. Previous experience includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, Associate Director for Administration at the Indiana University Art Museum, and Executive Director positions at the Association of Midwest Museums, History Center of Washington County, and Peoria Historical Society. Tanner holds a Master of Public Administration in Museum Administration and multiple Bachelor's degrees from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
