Nathan McIntyre has a long and varied work experience. In 2000, they started at DigitalGlobe, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they learned from some of the top technical talent in the industry how to be a software developer, technology leader, and innovator. In 2010, they founded GeccoSoft Inc. and raised initial angel funding, leading a small team in the design and implementation of GECCO, the world's first cloud-based remote sensing data processing platform. Nathan also worked as an IT consultant and a Software Developer at Bandwidth.com in 2013. In 2012, they worked as a Java Developer at PIXIA Corp. In 2014, they were a Senior Manager of Engineering at Maxar Technologies (formerly Digitalglobe, Inc.), where they led a team of engineers in building the premier remote sensor data processing and analysis system in the industry. In 2021, they were a Senior Manager of Engineering at Indigo. In 2018, they and their wife purchased a historic Colorado orchard, Menefee Mountain Orchard, which they have been restoring and producing fine apples for fresh eating and for the burgeoning cider industry in Southwestern Colorado. In 2022, they are currently working as a Lead Engineer at Albedo.
Nathan McIntyre attended Colorado State University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology.
