Andrew Rivera is a seasoned professional in product design and user experience, currently serving as the Senior Director of Product Design at Alation since March 2020. Prior to this role, Rivera held various significant positions at Walmart eCommerce, including Senior Director and Director of User Experience, where leadership of design teams and strategic vision projects were key responsibilities. Experience also includes directing user experience at Macys.com and managing user experience at Walmart Global eCommerce. At the California State Automobile Association, Rivera led a diverse team responsible for the redesign of csaa.com and digital marketing efforts. Early career roles included managing innovative design teams at Bank of America, focusing on user-centered methodologies and creating next-gen banking experiences. Rivera holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a BA in English from California State University, Northridge, and has educational ties with the Georgia Institute of Technology.
