Matt J.

Matt J. has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Matt started their career as a Quality Management Assistant at the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in October 2003 and worked there until January 2004. Matt then worked at UPS as an Engineering Coop from April 2004 to December 2004. In 2005, they joined Federal-Mogul Motorparts as an Engineering Coop and stayed there until June 2006. Matt later joined Cadillac Castings, Inc. as an Engineering Coop from October 2007 to March 2008. Matt then worked as a Substation Engineer at Anchorage Municipal Light and Power from September 2008 to April 2014. Finally, they worked at Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC) as an Electrical Engineer from October 2016 until present. In this role, they developed engineering calculations, design drawings, and project specifications for electrical power distribution, controls, and instrumentation systems in water/wastewater projects and facilities. Matt also ensured the effective operation and maintenance of electrical systems and customer satisfaction.

Matt J. completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems at Kettering University from 2003 to 2008. Additionally, they pursued a Substation Design and Construction Course at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, although the duration of this course is not specified. In 2014, they obtained the Professional Engineer certification from the State of Alaska.
