The demise of P.T. Antony in 1970 saw the reins of PT & Sons entrusted upon an young boy of 17, Francis Alapatt. Though young, Francis had been guided and nurtured by his father and hence, he followed the footsteps of this father in establishing and expanding the family business. His entrepreneurial drive and business acumen helped the company expand its businesses and also to diversify its activities. Alapatt Marketing and Alapatt Logistics were innovative creations by Francis.

As all in the family, Francis Alapatt is a God-fearing person with integrity and trust in-built in him. His commitment and dedication towards the welfare of his employees and the society is a well known fact. He is the ex-chairman of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce and is a director of the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industries. He is also one of the Directors of the South Indian Bank and is actively involved in taking the Bank to greater heights.
