Laura Grossmann-Hicks has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and non-profit sectors. Most recently, they worked as the Senior Director of Behavioral Health Services and LTC Ops at the Alameda Alliance for Health starting in 2023. Prior to that, they were the Assistant Vice President Client Partnerships and Program Director at Beacon Health Options from 2015 to 2023. From 2011 to 2015, Laura worked as a Principal Analyst at the California Health Benefits Review Program (CHBRP), where they provided independent analysis of health insurance benefit mandates. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Policy Analyst at the National Academy for State Health Policy, conducting research and analysis on Medicaid and CHIP programs. Laura also gained experience as a Progam Assistant, Community Health at The San Francisco Foundation from 2006 to 2008 and as the Programs Director at EarthTeam in 2004.
Laura Grossmann-Hicks completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology and Environmental Studies at Oberlin College from 1998 to 2002. Laura then pursued a Master's in Public Health (MPH) at The Johns Hopkins University from 2008 to 2009.
