Otto Pleil serves as the eBranch Manager at Alachua County Library District since August 2004, overseeing the library’s digital branch, website, and digital services. Previous roles include Reference Librarian in the Adult Services Department and Librarian at both the Library Partnership Branch and a large branch, where supervision of staff and participation in library committees were key responsibilities. Otto has also contributed to the Sunshine State Library Leadership Institute and has military experience as a Public Affairs Specialist in the United States Marine Corps. Educational credentials include a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida, and an Associate of Arts from Santa Fe College.
