Alana Freitas is an experienced educator and writer currently serving as a High School Humanities Teacher at Hawaii Technology Academy since August 2022. Freitas has been a Writer for Alabaster Co since January 2019 and held the role of Worship Director at Calvary By The Sea Lutheran Church from October 2023 to September 2024. Previously, Freitas worked as a Community Outreach Coordinator at Hawaii Technology Academy, a Contributing Writer for Wasabi Magazine, and an Administrative Assistant at The Princeton Review. Freitas's early career includes positions as a Staff Intern with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA, Disability Services Notetaker, Peer Probation Mentor at Chapman University, Childcare Worker at ROCKHARBOR Church, and Off-Campus Tutor with THINK Together.
