Cathy Jones is an experienced education administrator and mathematics specialist with a career spanning over three decades in the field of education. Since August 2007, Cathy has served at the Alabama Department of Education, bringing expertise in educational administration and mathematics. Prior to this role, Cathy worked as a high school mathematics teacher at the Elmore County Board of Education from August 1989 to August 2007. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Secondary Education - Mathematics from Troy University and a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education - Mathematics from Auburn University at Montgomery. Cathy's foundational education was completed at Meadowview and Wetumpka High School.
