Sahar Akbar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Sahar started their career as an Art Teacher at The Rosary School in 2009. Sahar then moved on to work as a Designer at Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, gaining valuable experience in the textile industry. Sahar also worked as a Visual Merchandiser and Interior Designer at CHEN ONE UAE, where they designed window displays and floor works. Additionally, they served as an Arts and Crafts teacher at Al Tamimi Stables, teaching children with special needs, and as an Educator at Little Leaders Nursery, providing materials and resources for children's learning and play. Sahar's recent roles include being an Art Specialist and Head of Art at Al Salam Private School & Nursery, where they have been responsible for art education, and as the founder of Instagram-Sahar_threadculture, where they promote peace through their artwork.

Sahar Akbar completed their Bachelors In Textile Design (BTD) with a specialization in Product Design and Print from the Asian Institute of Fashion Design (AIFD) between 2004 and 2008. Prior to that, they attended The City School where they completed their O levels. It is unclear when Sahar attended DHA College or if they pursued any degree or field of study during that time.
