Hemantha Wijesinghe is currently the Chief Technology Officer at Al Salam Bank, a position held since February 2021. With extensive experience in the banking and technology sectors, Hemantha has previously served as Head of Technology and Global Deployment Manager at HSBC from March 2009 to December 2020. Hemantha held various roles at HSBC Bank Middle-East, including Manager of Regional IT from 2004 to 2009, and served as IT Manager at The Saudi British Bank from 2001 to 2004. Hemantha's career began at IBM, working in the Banking System Design Unit, and included a position as Information Technology Officer at Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Hemantha holds a Master's Degree in Strategic Business IT from UOP and a Master of Science in Information Technology from the University of Portsmouth.
