Heleen Geerlings is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in intellectual property law. Currently serving as Senior IP Counsel at AkzoNobel since May 2014, Geerlings previously held the position of European Trademark Attorney at De Vries & Metman from October 2008 to April 2014, and earlier worked as Senior IP Counsel at Akzo Nobel NV between December 1993 and September 2008. Beginning career as a Trademark Attorney at GloBrands Consultancy Group from August 1990 to November 1993, Geerlings holds a degree in Law, specializing in European & International Law from Utrecht University (1984-1990) and completed further education at BMM Merken- en Modellengemachtigde (1991-1992). Educational background also includes time at Augsburg University (1983-1984) and Gymnasium Erasmianum, Rotterdam (1976-1983).
