Thomas Kneubühl has a diverse and extensive work experience in the software industry. Thomas currently works as the Bereichsleiter Softwarelösungen (Head of Software Solutions Department) at AKROS AG since September 2019. In this role, they manage and leads a team of 50 software developers, overseeing recruitment, staffing, and shaping of DevOps teams. Thomas gained experience as an IT Consultant, specializing in UX and Scrum, at Technology Innovation & Management AG from September 2011 to March 2014.

Earlier in their career, Thomas worked at PostFinance as a Teamleader GUI Development from January 2009 to September 2011, where they managed a 15-member cross-cultural GUI development team and had financial responsibility for the team and operations. Thomas also worked at PostFinance as a Usability Engineer from 2007 to 2008 and as a GUI Developer from February 2004 to 2007.

Thomas started their career as a Software Developer at ESS Development AG in 2000 and also interned at Borland in 2001.

Thomas Kneubühl obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Berner Fachhochschule: Technik und Informatik, where they studied from 1999 to 2003. Thomas later pursued a Master of Advanced Studies degree in Human Computer Interaction Design at the University of Basel from 2006 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Thomas also holds several certifications. Thomas obtained the Security Architect Nonodegree from Udacity in July 2022, the Hermes 5 Foundation certification from TÃœV SÃœD in July 2021, and the Certified SAFe 5 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. in June 2020. Thomas also holds the SAFe 4 Agilist (SA) certification from scaledagile.com, which they obtained in January 2019. Furthermore, Thomas is an Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE 6 Programmer, certified by Oracle in January 2015. Thomas also holds the Certified Scrum Professional certification from Scrum Alliance, obtained in November 2014, and the Certified Scrum Product Owner CSPO certification, obtained in December 2012. Lastly, Thomas obtained the Certified Scrum Master CSM certification from Scrum Alliance in November 2011.
