Brenna Erjavec is an experienced professional in animal care and occupational health and safety, currently serving as the Occupational Health and Safety Manager and Lead Wild Animal Keeper at Akron Zoo since January 2017. Erjavec oversees a team of keepers, managing day-to-day animal care and welfare, along with scheduling and team management. Previous roles include Animal Care Lead at Cleveland Animal Protective League, where responsibilities involved behavioral evaluations and supervision of staff, and Wildlife Intern at Conservancy of Southwest Florida, focusing on the health care of animals. Additional experience spans internships and technician positions in various animal care settings, including Greater Cleveland Aquarium and International Exotic Animal Sanctuary. Erjavec holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Animal Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Miami University.
