David Hamilton has served as a Judge for Akron Municipal Court since December 2019. Prior to this role, David was a Summit County Council Representative for District 5 from January 2017 to December 2019. David's legal experience includes positions as a Judicial Attorney under Judge Ron Cable, Managing Partner at The Law Office of Edward L. Littlejohn Jr., Assistant Director of Law and Assistant City Prosecutor for the City of Akron Law Department, and Assistant Law Director/Civil Attorney for the City of Akron Department of Law. Earlier career roles include Field Organizer for Organizing for America, Student Extern for the Office of Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine, Delegate for Ingham County, and various internships with the Michigan House of Representatives. David holds a Juris Doctor from Thomas M. Cooley Law School and a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Sociology from The University of Akron.
