Alexandra Bettina, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Director of Regulatory Affairs - Nonclinical at Akouos since January 2022. Prior to this role, Alexandra was an Associate Manager in Regulatory Affairs at Regeneron from July 2017 to January 2022, where responsibilities included managing nonclinical and clinical information requests for REGEN-COV, co-authoring meeting requests, and overseeing safety updates. Additionally, Alexandra worked as a Scientific Writer, crafting nonclinical pharmacology reports and supporting IND and BLA submissions. Previous experience includes serving as a Reviewer for the American Journal of Rhinology & Allergy and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Virginia, focusing on phagocytosis and programmed cell death. Alexandra's early career involved a Licensing Intern position at the University of Virginia Licensing & Ventures Group. Alexandra holds a PhD in Microbiology, an MS in Biological and Physical Sciences, and a BA in Biology from Bard College.
